NABO Mus Finals and Last Chance TournamentsThe NABO Mus Finals are approaching, May 30th in Homedale, ID hosted by our friends at Txoko Ona, so if you have yet to qualify, you still have a couple chances to do so. If you are in the Treasure Valley or its surrounding area your chance is on May 9th at the Ontario Basque Club. The tournament will begin at 10am at the Ontario Basque Center, and cost per player is $20 including lunch. As always, you must be a club member to play. Dues and fees will be collected at the door. Please RSVP by May 7th to info@ontariobasqeuclub.org. If you are in Northern Nevada or California, it may be easier for you to go to Rocklin to Iparreko Ibarra's Tournament, also on May 9th at a new location the Rocklin Community Center. Tournament registration will begin at 8:30am and cost to play is $30 per player with lunch. Again Mus fees and club dues can be paid at the door. Everyone is welcome to join them for lunch at noon. Fresno Basque Festival
The Fresno Basque Club will be hosting the first festival of the season this weekend on Saturday May 2nd at Rancho Vista del Rio. Gates open at 9am with mass at 11am. Lunch, featuring BBQ Lamb will be served from 1-3pm to be followed by a parade, Basque dancing and the Klika. Chorizos will also be available until 5pm. The day will conclude with a dance to the music of the Jean Flesher Band with La Belle Michelle. If that's not enough, join them on Sunday the 3rd at the Santa Fe Basque Restaurant for breakfast. Douglas County Historical Society and J.T.
The Douglas County Historical Society invites everyone to "Storytelling at the Museum" this Sunday, May 3, 2015 to hear about the Lekumberry Family and Early Tales from the J.T. The event will take place at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center from 1-3pm and is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
