BEO Film Series
The Basque Educational Organization (BEO) is proud to present Loreak (Flowers) as part of its Basque Film Series this Friday, September 11th at 7:30pm at the San Francisco Basque Cultural Center. Admission is free and the showing is open to the public. Loreak has received great acclaim and is currently on the list of potential Oscar nominees from the Basque Country. Marin-Sonoma Basque Association
Just when you thought festival season was over…the Marin-Sonoma Basque Association is hosting its annual event this Sunday, September 13th at Penngrove Park in Penngrove, CA. Doors open at 11:30 and lunch will feature BBQ chicken. For complete information email the club here.
Seattle Euskal Etxea Summer Picnic
If you are in Washington State, the Seattle Euskal Etxea is also holding its summer picnic this weekend on Saturday, September 12th. The event, at the Gazebo at Lake Sammamish, will begin at 11am and will run till 7pm. Cost of the lunch is $10 for members, $15 for member families, $15 for non-members and $20 for non-member families. Salads and desserts are welcomed.
