Euskal Etxea of Miami
The Euskal Etxea of Miami is proud to present its first ever "Winter Kirolak Picnic and Paella Competition" on Saturday February 21, 2015 at the Royal Palm Island . The event will include great food, rural sports demonstrations (harrijasotzea, aizkolaris, soka tira, and txinga probak) and Mus, what else could you ask for! All proceeds from the event will be donated to Joseba Andoni Larrazabal who is currently in Florida with his family receiving treatment for an accident he had as an infant. Carson City's International Film Weekend
Carson City Nevada's 2015 International Film Weekend will be held February 5-7 on the Western Nevada College Campus and at the Carson City Community Center and will include Obaba by Bernardo Atxaga this year. The event features an award-winning international film each evening including refreshments and informal discussion, with afternoon showings being dedicated to independent films. Berri Txarrak
We also heard from our friends Berri Txarrak. They are embarking on their 2015 tour promoting their latest album Denbora da poligrafo bakarra (Time is the only Polygraph). Tour dates already sold out in Donostia, and now they are on their way to Bordeaux, and Paris with upcoming stops in Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin and Frankfurt and Austin, Texas to play at the South by Southwest film and music festival.
