Utah'ko Triskalariak
The Utah'ko Triskalariak Dancers are adding a new performance to their line up this year. For the first time ever they will be participating in the EVE Festival, a three day festival, December 29-31st that includes an array of activities for young and old. The Triskalariak will perform at 8pm on December 29th on the World Stage at the Salt Palace. For complete festival information and schedule of events click here.
Euskal Etxea of Miami
We have also heard from our friends at the Euskal Etxea of Miami who are getting ready for their First annual Basque Rural Sport Picnic. The event will take place on February 7th from 11am-8pm at the Royal Palm Island (23170 SW 104 Ave. Miami 33170). The event will include rural sports exhibitions (txinga competition, wood cutting, stone lifting, sokatira), followed by a Paella competition with all ingredients and equipment provided. Dinner will be paella from the contest followed by a Mus tournament. As this is their first-ever event of this kind, they wanted to give everyone a heads-up in plenty of time to make plans.
