The Basque American Dream Documentary

Basque American DreamWe have heard from our friends at Basque Soccer friendly, that the documentary “The Basque American Dream” by Ander Egiluz and the Boise Basque community in support of Athletic Club Bilbao, will premiere this Saturday, October 31st at 11am (MST) or 10:00am (PST) featuring a Q&A with Aritz Aduriz from Athletic. The event will follow the Athletic vs. Seville match and will be hosted by La Liga TV Anchor Paola ‘la Wera’ Kuri. She will provide a brief introduction followed by the Q&A with Aduriz, which will immediately be followed by the screening of the documentary at about 11:30am. Boise Euzkaldunak Curbside Pickup Dinner

EuzkaldunakThe Boise Euzkaldunak will host a Curbside Pickup Dinner on Sunday, November 8th from 4:30-6:30pm serving as November’s Monthly Dinner.  Cost of the meal is $15 and reservations must be made by November 4th by 8:00pm (MST), here, or by calling 208-572-0604. On the day of the event, cars will drive through Grove Street to pick up meals in front of the Basque Center.  They can also be picked up on foot with masks and social distancing required.  The menu includes Tossed Salad, Orange Roughy Oriotarra, Baked Chicken with Onions and Wine, Potatoes in Salsa Verde Homemade, Bread & Butter and Dessert.  For more information, visit their website. Omenaldia Mass

ArgizaiolaThis year’s Omenaldia Memorial Mass will take place on Sunday, November 1 at 8:30 PST, 9:30am MST celebrated by Aita Antton Egiguren from his parish in Merced California.  To make sure you log on at the right time, please remember to set your clocks back an hour on Saturday night. The event will be aired live and will also be available for viewing later on, from the Basque Museum’s website. The missal can be found here. Traditionally this Mass honors members of the local community that have passed away.  This year, however, Aita Antton will be remembering members of Basque communities all over the country who have passed away in the last year. This special Mass is organized by the Basque Museum & Cultural Center, Biotzetikk Basque Choir, Artzai Ona Basque Catholic Community, Oinkari Dantzari Taldea, and Aita Antton Egiguren Basque Chaplain.
