Euskara Classes Deadline Approaches
If you haven’t enrolled in a Basque class yet, you still have time. Deadline to enroll in Euskara classes offered through the NABO Euskara Program, is January 6th. As previously reported, NABO, through the Basque Museum & Cultural Center, is offering a variety of courses next semester for both beginners and more advanced students. In addition to traditional online classes, they also offer two conversation courses and a series of topic-driven courses through the Euskal Herria Ezagutzen program, including Basque for Travel, Basque Gastronomy, Basque Festivities, and Basque Sports. NABO club members receive a discount on tuition, and some scholarships are also available. Mendigoizaleak Hike in San Francisco
If you are trying to exercise more in the New Year, here’s a great opportunity! The San Francisco Basque Cultural Center has organized an 8-mile hike on January 7th, weather permitting. The hike will take place in and around the Presidio in San Francisco. Anyone interested in joining in should email Marie Rosecrans. Aupa Mendigoizaleak!
14th Annual Ascona Mus Tournament
Please join the Southern California Basque Club this weekend for the 14th annual Ascona Mus Tournament. This annual event, in memory of Rosemarie and Jean Ascona, will take place on Sunday, January 8th beginning at 7:30am for check-in at Brinderson Hall, at the Chino Fairgrounds.
