Iparreko Ibarra Mus Tournament
The Iparreko Ibarra Basque Club in Rocklin, California will host its annual Mus Tournament this Saturday, May 13th at the Loomis Meeting Spot. Registration begins at 8:30am and play will begin promptly at 9am. You must be a club member to participate and the tournament fee is $40 per player that includes lunch. Casting Call for Mus Players
Are you a Mus player who would like to be part of a TV show, and maybe win some money for your chosen organization? If that is you, Kanaldude is here to help. Kanaldude is looking for good Mus players who speak Basque to be part of a TV program, and the winners will receive cash prizes for their chosen organizations, 3,000 Euros for first place, and 1,500 for second place. In order to be eligible, you need to be at least 18 years old, speak Basque, have a Mus partner and be able to play well. To enter, send your name, where you are from, and a short video introduction of yourself and your chosen organization, including why you have chosen that particular one, and email it to info@kanaldude.eus. NABO 50th Anniversary Convention
The North American Basque Organizations 50th Anniversary Convention is just a week away hosted by the Los Banos Basque Club. If you have not RSVP’d yet for the various events, please do so ASAP. Remember that NABO’s Txerriki contest (txorizo, lukainka and tripota) will also take place on Saturday morning.
