Udako Besta Gateau Basque Contest
We wanted to let you know that the Sagardotegi dinner is now sold out. They extend their gratitude to everyone for the wonderful response. But all is not lost because, as part of this year’s Udako Besta there will also be a Gateau Basque contest.
The contest will take place on August 27th with check in from 9:00-9:30am on the Banquet Room stage. Judges will evaluate both traditional and non-traditional cakes based on the following criteria: quality of the bake, flavor, and texture. The winner will be a judge at next year’s contest. Chino Basque Club Picnic
Mark your calendars because the Chino Basque Club picnic is just around the corner. As always, it will take place next weekend, Labor Day Weekend with the NABO Pilota and Pala finals on Saturday at the Aphessetche Trinketa, a full day of events on Sunday at the Chino Fairgrounds, and Basque Breakfast at the Centro Basco on Monday.
