BMCC Basque Country Raffle
Our friends at the Basque Museum and Cultural Center are holding their biennial Basque Country Raffle for a chance to win $3,500 towards travel, hotel, amazing experiences and help with planning your trip. Basque Mural Brainstorming Session
The Center for Basque Studies invites everyone to join in on a brainstorming session this Monday, October 2nd at 3pm in the Knowledge Center Rotunda. The session is to gather ideas for the City of Reno’s Basque community mural project. The project is spearheaded by two Basque artists, Leire Urbeltz and Jaione Inda who have received a grant from the Government of Navarre to support their efforts. Everyone is encourage to “bring and share with them a photograph of someone or something, or an object that holds significance to your Basque-American identity.”
Dance Workshop in Fresno
The Fresno Basque Club invites anyone interested in brushing up their Basque dancing skills to come to a workshop this Saturday, September 30th at the Santa Fe Basque Restaurant with doors opening at 9:30am. The workshop will run from 10am-noon and lunch will follow at 1pm. Please RSVP for the workshop, lunch, or both by calling: 559-260-1720.
Kern County Basque Club at the Fair
Members of the Kern County Basque Club have been hard at work at this year’s fair, marking 47 years of participating in this annual event.
