The Impact of Women in Basque Communities - Second Edition
Our friends at the Basque Educational Organization are sharing news about a second edition of the book that is the fruit of the Women of the Basque Communities in the US Conference last year. “Last October, the Basque Educational Organization (BEO) celebrated the women of the Basque communities in the U.S. at its biennial Basque Cultural Day. This celebration included putting together a collection of pictures and stories that family members and friends from all over submitted. With over 100 submissions, the first edition of The Impact of Women in Basque Communities: A Collection of Pictures and Words was born. The stories are riveting, the memories are beautiful, and the women honored here have automatically become a part of our lives, whether or not we knew (or know) them. We are giving everyone the opportunity to add to this book to create a second edition. Why? Because we believe every woman should have a page in the book. It's not too late. It's never too late. We are offering a discount through the end of August for inclusion in Edition 2. A portion of the proceeds will go into the Women's Empowerment Fund, which is one of the ways the BEO supports women who shape our communities, further our culture, and enhance our Basque identity." To learn more about taking part in this book, please visit the BEO here. To learn more about the BEO's Women's Empowerment Fund, click here.
