Karmele Film Tour Begins Soon

KarmeleThe San Francisco Basque Cultural Center has again partnered with Txintxua Films to organize a film tour of KARMELE. This, Asier Altuna’s new film is a story of sustainability, resilience, and dignity in the face of oppression — a journey woven through culture, music, and art, which is based on the real experiences of Karmele Urresti and Txomin Letamendi and inspired by the novel Elkarrekin Esnatzeko Ordua (Time to Wake Up Together) by Kirmen Uribe.  Asier Altuna, the film’s director, and screenwriter will present his film and do a Q&A after the screenings. The film will be screened in twelve Basque communities across the U.S. in six states and Washington D.C. For more details on the film and the Basque Film Tour schedule, please click here.
