Food First
Food First will be hosting the Basque Farmers' Union from September 22-29, 2013. As part of the events there will be a talk on September 25 entitled, "Small-Scale Farming, Resistance and Food Sovereignty: A Conversation with the Basque Farmers' Union" and on September 28th they will be hosting an event with special guests EHNE Bizkaia. UC San Diego
We were also notified of the death of Dr. Carlos Blanco Aguinaga, originally from Irun, and one of the founders of the UC San Diego Literature Department. Dr. Blanco Aguinaga died on September 11, 2013 in La Jolla. For more information on his life and his contributions to UCSD please visit their web site. Our condolences to the UCSD community.
