Chino Basque Club Annual Picnic
As you all know the Chino Basque Club's annual picnic always coincides with Labor Day Weekend, this year August 30-31st. The festivities will begin on Saturday at the Aphessetche Trinketa (4262 Bickmore Avenue) for pala games from 9-11am and handball games from 3-6pm. Refreshments will be available. Sunday's events begin with mass at 10am complete with the klika and "Besta Berri" followed by a BBQ steak lunch, and an afternoon of entertainment provided by the local dance groups. Dinner will be served at 6:30pm followed by a public dance to the music of Kiki Bordatxo. On Monday everyone can gather to reminisce about the great weekend at the Centro Basco for breakfast. Ongi pasa!
New York Basque Club
This weekend Real Sociedad fans will gather at the Euskal Etxea in New York (307 Eckford Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222) to watch Real's first 2014-15 Liga game against Eibar. Doors will open at noon with a cash bar and tortilla available. To RSVP please email nik@txeroki.com.Zuri urdina!
