Chino Basque Club Christmas Events

The Chino Basque club is getting into the Christmas spirit by hosting a Christmas lunch with a visit from Santa, as well as holding a pajama drive on December 21st. There will also be junior and adult handball games at 10am before lunch. On Christmas Day, there will be mass at St. Margaret in the hall with local children bringing the Christmas story to life. Basque Catholic Organization

We also heard from the Basque Catholic Organization that Boise got an early Christmas present in the form of a Basque chaplain. Aita Antton Egiguren Iraola, has made his way to Boise to serve the local and surrounding Basque communities. Originally from Bidegoian, just outside Tolosa, Gipuzkoa, his official position is as Parochial Vicar at St. John's Cathedral, where he'll assist at the parish.
